Making the decision to engage in therapy is a proactive way to ensure your mental health is a priority. Therapy can provide the opportunity to look deeply into your experiences and emotions, and gain insight into your personal process. My philosophy is to create a safe and secure environment that allows for open, honest discussion, which will help to foster both understanding and healing. Using an integrative approach to therapy, I collaborate with each individual (or couple) to create an experience that is comfortable, supported and progressive. It is my goal to help both individual and couple client's explore their issues at their own pace, and in a supportive way.
In couples therapy, the goal is often to enhance and facilitate communication between two partners. While the therapeutic process may look different for each client, having a shared goal in mind can help to promote not only communication for a couple, but can also lead to the development of empathy and understanding of each other's experience, as well as renewed connection. Working with couples is a particular passion of mine, as many different issues can be addressed from a relational standpoint. The benefits of a secure and healthy connection with your partner can be seen and felt in various facets of your life, and it is my goal to help you achieve this.
